Doubt or Certainty?
Belief

This cartoon depicts the different attitudes towards doubt and certainty held by Scientists and Believers. The amounts of evidence shown have been based on the opinions of the religious leaders on page one, namely there is no evidence for the existence of god, versus the vast amount of evidence known to Science.

Far from being the arrogant creed that Science is often accused of being, the default position for Scientists is, ‘We may not know yet, but let’s find out!’

It is religions that are arrogant with their groundless conviction in the existence of a god
